Manifesto

Dacia offers an internationally certified house product, a multi‑sensory experience and a cultural identity that turns a reservation into an act of national dignity.

Somewhere, between the legends of Buzău and the discreet perfume of the interwar era, between the living fires of Lopătari and the taste of bread baked by grandmother, an idea took shape: that Romanian gastronomy deserves to be told differently. With delicacy. With respect for origins. With vision.

This is how Dacia Romanian Dining was born. Not as a mere restaurant, but as an act of cultural restoration. A place where tradition is retold on elegant plates, with clean, carefully chosen produce, conceived to pass the test of international refinement.

A place where every meal is a journey through key landmarks: the UNESCO Geopark Buzău Land, the Pietroasele Treasure, the Mud Volcanoes, the Gate of God.

Brand inspiration

The Pietroasele Treasure

1837

Our inspiration starts with the Pietroasele Treasure — 22 objects of gold and precious stones, found by chance in 1837. Exhibited in Paris, London, Berlin, sent into exile to Moscow, recovered after 40 years, restored and rescued from fires. Today, 12 original pieces rest at the National Museum of History in Bucharest.

The amphora from this treasure is part of our logo — a symbol of the values we carry forward: nobility, rootedness and identity. Ours is also the only restaurant in Romania to hold a partnership with the Bucharest Municipality Museum.

From butchery to fine dining

An inheritance, a promise

Carmangeria
Familiei

It all began with a small, artisanal butchery, born from a local entrepreneur's wish to keep the heritage of clean taste alive. Uncompromising products, authentic recipes, Romanian meat, respect for nature and for people.

Dacia Romanian Dining is the expression of this dream. A restaurant whose mission is to honor the nobility of Romanian ingredients, treating them with the respect the French give their terroir, with the pride the Italians give their cuisine.

One of our most representative products is the Babic of Buzău Land — well kept, well smoked, well loved. Made from pork and beef, seasoned with hot red pepper and slowly smoked for over 30 days with hardwood. The recipe has been passed down unchanged from generation to generation for more than two centuries.

In 2023, the babic was awarded the Superior Taste Prize at the International Taste Institute, Brussels. Legend has it that Napoleon himself, hosted by boyar Vernescu, was struck by the taste of the babic and that of the Pleșcoi sausages.

In 2025, at the certificate ceremony held by the Royal House, the smoked turkey thigh pastrami stood out among the Princess's main dishes — her favourite.
